Privacy policy
Last updated: August 1, 2026
WatchArchive is designed to help you manage your movie and TV history without selling your personal information or tracking you for advertising.
Information we handle
We process account details, saved movies and shows, ratings, episode progress, optional integration data, and information you submit through the contact form. Contact messages are delivered by email and are not stored in the WatchArchive database.
How we use information
We use information only to operate the app, secure accounts, synchronize features you enable, provide support, and maintain reliability.
Cookies and technical logs
Essential cookies and local storage keep you signed in and remember language, theme, and trusted-device settings. Basic server and security logs, including hashed rate-limit counters, may be processed to prevent abuse and diagnose failures. We do not currently use advertising trackers.
Third-party services
WatchArchive may use hosting, email, OAuth providers, TMDB, and optional Simkl services. Their own privacy policies apply when they process information. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Advertising
WatchArchive may display advertisements in the future. If an advertising provider uses cookies or similar technology, we will update this policy and request consent where required.
Retention and your choices
We keep account and library information while your account is active. Account deletion removes local account and viewing data, while a minimal deletion record containing name, email, source, and date is retained for one year. Email providers and administrator inboxes may retain correspondence under their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this short policy when the app or its service providers change. The date above will show the latest revision.
