Super Bowl IX, played on January 12, 1975, at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans, marked the beginning of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ dynasty. With a 16-6 victory over the Minnesota Vikings, the Steelers claimed their first championship in franchise history, powered by their legendary “Steel Curtain” defense and the bruising running of Franco Harris.
